FAQs

This sounds a lot like therapy. Are you a licensed therapist?

No, I am not a therapist. Even though I will listen to you with empathy and listen to your problems, there is a big difference between therapy and life coaching. Your coaching sessions will focus on your goals and getting you results. A therapist is there to treat mental health conditions and heal past trauma. A therapist usually works with your past and present while your coach will work with you in the present to get you to your future.

I’m already successful, what do I need a coach for?

This is a great question! There are numerous benefits to coaching, but I like to use an analogy here. Think of a great athlete – Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, Michael Phelps, or Usain Bolt. Most people consider them the greatest of their sports, and they’ve all worked with a coach to make them successful. Does that mean Michael Phelps’s coach is a better swimmer than him, or that Serena Williams’s coach is a better tennis player? Most likely not. But, they continue to work with their coach because the coach is able to push them to greatness, objectively assess their strengths and the areas they need to improve on. That’s exactly what you’ll work on with a life coach. If you’re already successful – great! Working together will support you to move forward even faster!
